POST 52 KEARNEY

STATE CONVENTION 2013

We met our fund raising goals, we met our obligations with presentations to the sibling entities of the American Legion, we met to elect the new commanders and other key officers for the new session and we met our governor and thanked him for the support and help he and his administration had afforded the veterans of the state of Nebraska.

At the end of the convention we struck our colors to close the session then the post 52 color guards marched in the parade to secure awareness for our cause. It was a mission accomplished!

Thanks to all who participated for their hard work and efforts to make the event a success on every level.

I am very proud and feel quite honored to have been with this group pictured here on Veterans day. It was very cold and fiercely windy but all who marched stayed strong and got the job done.

Here we are in the below photo before we set colors at an event center in Kearney Nebraska

I must talk to somebody about making photos..... if one of the two shortest guys would have just moved to the opposite side it would have been a perfect progression from tallest at middle to shortest at each flank. Oh-well :-(

Fantastic to keep the remembrance of those who gave all for freedom, they will never be forgotten. Thanks for the post Fritz.

I was proud to be part of the event and honored to know and meet so many dedicated people who are determined to give so much for the veterans and America. It feels good to know so many good folks are working toward the betterment of community, state and nation.
