I wish to apologize to all members and officers of the Nebraska State Volunteer Firefighters Association for having been a loyal member and contributor to your cause for many years from 1998 to 2013 when first an active duty Firefighter then in later years after a pause as a retired Firefighter.
I have been promoting many Firefighter organizations over the years, (which I was either a member directly or just as a supporter), in every way possible because I have always understood the needs of those who risk everything to serve their communities and felt it was my duty as an American citizen to take an interest in people who have taken an interest in us all.
On August 14 of this year I was informed that my membership was being denied because I was using a registered trademark to promote their organization. My attempts to stimulate membership in the Nebraska State Volunteer Firefighters Association as I have been doing for several years, (with no idea they were "registered trademarks" so I had no idea I would need permission to use the likeness to build links from my business website to theirs), were unwanted by this organization. As I have never profited from the links or from any use of the alleged registered trademarks I was surprised to receive a letter from the president of the association informing me of my denied membership and demanding I remove all trace of their association from my site.
I state for the record that I have as of this posting complied with all demands made of me by the president and sent the following letter:
I feel now that I should go and apologize to this nice man pictured below who I spoke to briefly to thank himself and his administration for all the help received to, at that time two associations I was a member of, the Nebraska State Volunteer Firefighters Association and the American Legion. I feel I had again promoted the Firefighters Association without their expressed written permission so should go beg someone for forgiveness for my willful act of trespass on the hallowed ground of the above aforementioned association.
I am sure when I greeted the similar government entity in Canada who's capital city was sponsoring the Firefighters memorial event that year and I posted the moment to promote their worthy cause and I was not attacked and punished for doing so, is because they appreciated the free heartfelt promotion from an individual who supported and believed in their cause.
It is hard to accept that love for country and devotion to cause for an association has been eclipsed by the malicious hate driven accusations by a few detractors who reported a person to an organization, whose leaders should have known better than to punish a dedicated supporter, for giving their own money and time for the betterment of their cause.
I had a thought just now... got a compass...yep!, and sure enough the needle pointed north when I looked due left of a sunrise! I feel comforted now to know that the world has not flown off it's axis... apparently just a few hateful people have just gone mad.
I have been aware for many years that because I am not a native born Nebraskan I have been subjected to cruel and unfair treatment by some of my neighbors in the town where I lived. I began to feel the Firefighter organization who I paid my dues to every year did not want my membership because when I would try to access the privileges of membership I would be given a run around of excuses as to why I could not.
I am a determined person so I felt even though I was being denied these privileges I might still do some good for my fellow Firefighters in other ways. So I built links to their homepage so perhaps others could take advantage of the many beneficial offers this association had to help Firefighters. Apparently they have been looking for a reason to get rid of me legally and I unwittingly gave it to them.
Well, I feel you can not be liked by everyone so I will just accept the unkindness of this Nebraska state entity the same as I have the other handful of people who fed antifreeze soaked hamburger to my pets resulting in their death as the vet in the neighboring town tried feverishly but in vain to save them. Or when the neighbor to the south of my home in Orleans on Oak street poured chemicals into the ground around the base of trees I had transplanted there. The trees all died.
Then again when I attended a cattleman's prime rib dinner by invitation only to have my wife and uncle served well after everyone else was eating and enjoying their meal and when my "steak" finally arrived as all others were beginning to leave and the waitress said to me" it is not me, I am just the server" as she put a plate in front of me that was just the end fat of the prime rib with a very tiny bit of meat in it. My wife was outraged and began to rise to her feet when I corralled her and begged her to just say nothing as it would please these people who did this to see they made you angry.
I have learned to just accept behavior like this as it will do no good to protest because even the Sheriff in that town was not above this very same type of behavior too. So where do you go for help? That woman eventually left me because she could not tolerate it anymore. I mean when we would seed up a new lawn only to come home and find that someone saw fit to drive a car across it while we were out of town shopping or when we were cited for improper lawn care when I had taken great pain to groom and keep it free of weeds by a complainant who's property was full of the very same uncontrolled thistle which we were keeping managed to state specifications as the weed was very hazardous to crops.
We had a letter from the State Weed Inspector, (who came to inspect the property following up on a complaint from the town board), stating we were in compliance with the state ordered "noxious weed" control articles. This very much enraged the town board head who was trying to fine us for non compliance. So he had to drop his charges against us and that began a series of frivolous complaints by the town officers and interested citizens. Then the pain of having to cut down a wild plum tree because the town decided "it needed to go" after I had gleaned fruit from it for two years and made jam and jelly. We were confused because it had stood there for decades before we bought the property that was at that time totally overgrown and unkempt and thistle grew with wild abandon!
Once we were cited for improper placement of our LP gas tank even though it was in compliance with the state rules and our town had no rules in place to counter the state mandate. It seemed unfair because the town was itself failing to comply with the measures they cited us for with it's own concession stand for the annual fair and many other dwellings in town also were in serious violation of the state code. Ours was placed by the local AG vendor who was selling us the LP gas so we were confident it was done properly. It turns out it was and the town fathers once again backed off. Most men can just keep moving forward but our wives are another matter as they tend to take abuse like this personally.
It seemed the nicer I made things the more people complained. Just because I can make a good time for myself with nearly nothing to work with people try to kick the world out from under me. How hateful is that? These people need to love themselves more so they may stop caring so much about what others are doing.
Now that I am homeless( I live in and old 2005 Kenworth truck tractor parked on the edge of a man's alfalfa field) and have to live on my Navy pension and Social Security Disability, (because I was taken from the work force by a careless driver who was texting: see this link :http://ffcountry.ning.com/profiles/blogs/truck-roll-over-due-to-ano... ), that combined come to less than one thousand per month, I am being stripped of one of the only things I have left that allows me to have some interaction with other people in a positive way. Talk about kicking a guy when he is down!
Really though do not feel happy if you hate me or upset if you do not about my truck living, because I have big plans for this unit! I have little strength left from the accident anymore but I will find a way to get the job done so I may live comfortably and inexpensively away from everyone who seems determined to see me gone.
Again I feel acceptance is the key along with my faith in myself, ( I like me... another apparently bad thing in the eyes of most of my detractors), so I just keep on trying to do the things I can do, accept the things I can not do and pray for the wisdom to know the difference!
So enjoy trying to hurt me you few determined Nebraskans while you can because as soon as I get this monster closed in with the new body in place and all the goodies inside, I will be heading home to Canada where the people are without care if you happen to not be from there. If you are an ass they will avoid you but still be polite. If you are a regular guy they will accept you and that is it! Yep.. pretty soon you will not have Fritz to kick around anymore:-)
HERE IS HOW I COULD BE HELPING FIREFIGHTERS IN AMERICA IF THE NEBRASKA VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTER ASSOCIATION WOULD ALLOW ME TO PARTICIPATE FULLY AS I TRIED TO DO.
I AM VERY SATISFIED THAT I WAS ABLE TO HAVE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO HELP OUR SISTERS AND BROTHERS WHO ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL THE COLD WINTERS WE HAVE :-)
IT IS VERY HURTFUL TO ME TO NOT BE ABLE TO HAVE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE THIS GENEROUS IN SUPPORT OF OUR FIREFIGHTERS RIGHT HERE IN NEBRASKA. I MAY HAVE GONE ABOUT IT WRONG BUT I MEANT ONLY TO SERVE. WHY WAS I TURNED AWAY? THE TREASURER OF THAT OUTRAGED ASSOCIATION HAS THAT ANSWER AS HE WAS THE ONE WHO SUGGESTED I GO TO COLLEGE TO GLEAN A FIRE SCIENCE DEGREE INSTEAD OF COMING TO THE STATE FIRE SCHOOL TO BE CERTIFIED IN THE AREAS I NEEDED TO BE UP TO DATE IN. THAT CONVERSATION CONVINCED ME I WAS NOT WANTED IN THEIR ORGANIZATION BUT I WAS ALLOWED TO KEEP PAYING MY ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP DUES. I STAYED IN BECAUSE IT WAS ALL I WAS ALLOWED TO CONTRIBUTE TO MY FELLOW FIREFIGHTERS AND I BELIEVED IN THE MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION.
NOTE TO SELF: next time I decide to try to help someone..... ask them first if it is okay!!
Be well and stay safe everyone.
PS: I have finally had the opportunity to have a session with a veterans administration counselor and he helped me to see that my experiences stemmed not from what is wrong with me only but what it appears is wrong with my detractors.
Now I feel a certain amount of guilt for posting this blog because I am aware that I should actually feel sorry for these few who would willfully tare others down to compensate for their own feelings of inadequacy.
I feel that is why I build stuff and he counsels people, I would never have guessed that in a million years!
PPS: Oh I just discovered that I may, as a Nebraska based LLC, establish my own fire brigade. Then I will have the responsibility to send the members to be trained at certified state licensed facilities like the Nebraska State Fire School:-)

I really love this country! If you really try here there is nothing and no one who can stop you from achieving your goals.
LATEST UPDATES - MORE DISCRIMINATION AND ABUSE BY THOSE WHO HAVE VOLUNTEERED TO HELP ALL VETERANS,... EXCEPT APPARENTLY ME.
Here is a quick pictorial overview of my contributions as a Vietnam Veteran just to establish that I should have been afforded a helping hand with the ride services established to help we Veterans who can not get to our hospital appointments on our own.
THIS IS THE LAST AWARD RECORD AVAILABLE FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY
HERE IS THE EXCUSE I WAS AFFORDED via E-mail FROM THE VOLUNTEER WHO HELPS VETERANS WITH A RIDE SERVICE.
Frederick, the Veterans Transportation System in grand Island will not be able to provide transportation for you on November 14th, 2018. I tried to call you, but you did not answer. If you have any questions, please feel free to give me a call at 308-389-5167. You mentioned in the email below that you forwarded it to Grand Island and was told that they have another option, who did you send it too?

NOW COMES THE MOST IRRESPONSIBLE EXCUSE I HAVE EVER HEARD FROM THE DAV RIDE SERVICE PROVIDER
I can only write it down because it was a telephone communication, sorry.
I was informed that the DAV ride service was unable to pick me up at my location because it only stopped at the town of Elm Creek which is 6 miles to the West of my unincorporated village of Odessa. I just felt it was a ridiculous excuse because Odessa is between Elm Creek and the VA hospital in Grand Island Nebraska. This means you must drive past Odessa from Elm Creek to get to the destination in Grand Island.
If it is just my inability to understand the problem with this excuse, then please send your thoughts to my posted E-mail address so I may benefit from "greater minds" than my own. I will appreciate the help.
THE NEXT POSTING WILL INCLUDE PHOTOS OF MY THIRD DEGREE BURNS THAT WERE LEFT UP TO MYSELF TO DEAL WITH AFTER THE KEARNEY FIRE DEPARTMENT REFUSED TO HELP ME WHEN MY PLACE BURNED DOWN AND I LOST EVERYTHING
AND PEOPLE WONDER WHY I BECOME ANNOYED WHEN THEY PUKE UP THOSE TIRED AND INSINCERE WORDS; "THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE" WHEN IT IS CLEAR BY ACTIONS LIKE THE ONES POSTED HERE THAT THEY ACTUALLY COULD NOT CARE LESS ABOUT WHATEVER WE ARE SUFFERING FROM.
IT IS ALL JUST LIES AND WE ARE FOOLS TO BE SO WILLING TO ACCEPT LITTLE PIECES OF CLOTH AND METAL FOR WHAT WE SACRIFICE AND CARRY WITH US FOR THE REST OF OUR LIVES.
MORE TO COME !
